I caved and bought more icons. Anyone that's being crazy like me, it helps to actually read through some of the news post's comments to make sense of how it works. If you have a paid account and had the userpic add-on before a la carte icons, you have 1 package. Therefore, you cannot buy the 1st package listed (listed as 1 package - 70 userpics). Well. You can, but you won't get the icons, you'll just get additional time for the package.

Formerly package 1 was called something like... oooh... 100 extra userpics or something. They renamed that, which is good, because it was a little deceiving. You didn't get 100 more userpics, your total was brought up to 100 (not counting loyalty pics).

Get it? Probably not. It's pretty confusing. But, so, if you have a paid account and the 1st package and you want more icons, you have to buy 2 packages, which will add another 70 icons to your total.

So, I had 105 icons (1 package + loyalty userpics) before I gave LJ another $20 (sigh I hate being an icon whore ;;), and now have a total of 175.

All icon add-ons are built to expire on the same date. Something about distribution time amongst the packages. The staff have some pretty decent explanations in the comments.

-I believe plus/basic accounts can get a total of 15 more icons for $6 ($2 for 5 icons each package).
-I do not know how these add-ons effect permanent accounts.

So I really just wanted to play a bit with the horrors the Doctor was talking about from the Time War. Although I've really only got the Nightmare Child figured out, since I had done that for Shades of Three. And then I got lazy so I'll probably touch on other things at some point.

Takes place during part 2 of EoT, before the Doctor gets back to his feet in the mansion.

( It’s a similar kind of moment to his failed resurrection. His breathing is irregular and there’s energy coursing around them, suffocating and latching to the drumming in his head and amplifying with each beat. The fear is similar to before, so open and impossible to push under walls and wrap himself up tight. Everything has gone wrong these past few days. This instant is the first time since his return to the universe that he doesn’t notice his insatiable hunger. )

I never use to really care for Doctor/Master. And then one day, this LJ for a Doctor Who fic gets featured and I happen to notice it (generally I barely bat an eyelid at the spotlights), and, well, I read the entire thing in one go, and I suppose you can say my eyes were opened.

Anyway! The point is, the same author has written a retelling of End of Time. I’ve been waiting for this awhile now and was not disappointed \o/ I read Aria’s fic and always end up inspired. I just… can barely explain it. It’s like a dizzying sort of joy!
